The Sherwood championship series
The Sherwood Championship Series (SWDCS) is a new Sherwood ranking system based on the BCS of American college football. This system was created to achieve an accurate, constantly updated list of the top best fighters (male & female) and top 10 clans. Unlike previous sites using "spot fights," this site is not a challenge ladder. The only participation required in the SWDCS is to play the game and fight as you normally would, and each week the list will be updated to reflect performance. The advantages of this new system over the previous one include:
1) No need to search for a specific person directly above you on the list. Challenges can be made to ANY player placed at any spot (only if you are on the list to begin with) Fighting well against such players will be reflected in rankings.
2) There are no set number of fights that must be fought in order to attain a spot. The challenging player will be asked to maintain a lead over this opponent until the end of the weekly period when the list will be updated. Participants are to post their SUMMARIZED scores accumulated throughout the week. Posting must be done at the end of the weekly period(Sunday). Posting individual scores results in conflicts for the admins when updating, therefore will be ignored.
3) Returning players, or players improving quickly don't have to climb a ladder of 10 players to get to the spot they deserve. As stated above, all they have to do is prove their worth by fighting well and they'll be ranked accordingly. Returning players are required to show at least one full of active fighting to secure a top 10 position.
4) Avoiding numerous challenges will result in penalties of either removal or decrease in position (decided by the admins).
5) Inactivity will be counted against your rank and may result in either a drop in your rank or removal from list completely. This is to ensure that players who are actively fighting have a fair chance at competing for ranks and will not run into roadblocks. One full week of complete inactivity results in removal from the list.
6) There will be no hackers, dodgers, and extreme laggers permitted on this list. If a consistent group of people complain about your fighting and deem it to be unfair, you will also be removed if you are on the list.
The current committee of fighters that will be responsible for updating this site are:

The current committee of players that will be responsible for choosing the clan list are:

This site's admins are unbiased and completely objective toward the rankings of players and clans.
